How we look back on 2014 is a choice. Choosing to be disappointed or to be overcome by sadness is self-destructive and leads to self-sabotage. One of the things that I do as a coach, is work with my clients to create awareness around their own thought patterns and how negative thoughts lead to negative behaviors. Our thoughts shape our behaviors and our behaviors in turn shape our health and our levels of joy, satisfaction and fulfillment. Ultimately, our thoughts shape our lives.
It all comes down to a very simple question: How happy are you?
Happiness is not a state, happiness is a way of living, and you can choose how happy you want to live. Life is an endless opportunity of choices.
How are you going to start 2015? What will you do differently? Is it going to be another year where you start your New Year with resolutions that get lost and forgotten by February? Hopefully not! I invite you to change what you do not like TODAY, and embrace TODAY as your new day. Make today the start of your new life. The calendar is just a date. Choose to live every day like a new year; a new year full of opportunities and great expectations. There is no need to wait for tomorrow, or the New Year. Take a piece of paper and start writing your New "Day" Resolutions, today!
In the words of Walt Disney, “ If you can dream it, you can do it”.
Don’t be shy, dream big, and start your New Year today.
So Happy Day, today, tomorrow and forever!
